I got a whole rail of kids’ costumes for £1.80 – I worried people would bash me for taking so many but I have my reasons

TESCO fans are racing to their nearest store after one shopper revealed the huge bargain she managed to get her hands on.

The supermarket chain is known for great deals, so when one woman, called Tasha, spotted children’s dress-up costumes massively reduced the deal was too good to pass up.

She took to the popular money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to rave about her find.

Alongside a snap of the costumes she picked up, Tasha said: “Down to £2 each (£1.80 with club card plus!) at Tesco Inshes in Inverness.”

In the picture, Tasha showed off 13 different costumes, including Toy Story character’s like Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

The savvy shopper also revealed that she had a very good reason for clearing the shelves of the reduced costumes.

“These will go to the hospital at Christmas time,” she revealed, as she asked other members of the money-saving group not to hate her for grabbing so many.

Fellow bargain hunters couldn’t believe how cheap the costumes were and many said they were going to try and grab some for themselves.

One commented on the post: “Great find! And good on you for donating!”

A second agreed: “Great deed!”

Meanwhile, other shoppers wanted to know if there were any costumes left on the shelves – and lucking there were still loads, Tasha noted.

One said: “Buzz Lightyear! Such a good find.”

Another tagged a friend and wrote: “Please look for Woody next time you’re in Tesco.”

And another said: “Lovely of you to donate them.”

The bargain isn’t the only great deal Tesco shoppers have been loving recently though.

One fashion fan named Rebecca took to TikTok to rave about hte brand’s summer dresses.

The fashionista, who is 5ft 8 and in-between a size 14 and 16, tried on a stunning selection of new-in clothes from the supermarket’s F&F range – and they’re perfect for spring/summer.

Amongst them includes a “flattering” and “tummy shaping” swimming costume for your holidays – and at £22.50, it’s a total bargain!

Pairing the monochrome number with a pair of super stylish broderie shorts, Rebecca said: “If you haven’t been able to try on an F&F swimsuit, get yourself down there.

“They are incredible, they are so flattering and tummy shaping.”

What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?

TESCO'S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop.

These points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places like restaurants and days out.

Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.

Drivers using the loyalty card get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 money-off voucher, for example.

You can double their worth when you swap them for discounts with “reward partners”.

For example, £12 worth of vouchers can be swapped for a £24 three-month subscription to Disney+.

Or you can swap 50p worth of points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.

Where you can spend them changes regularly, and you can check on the Tesco website what’s available now.

Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card.

The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you’ll pay a higher price.

These Clubcard prices are usually labelled on shelves, along with the non-member price.

But it’s worth noting that just because it’s discounted doesn’t necessarily make it the cheapest around, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.

You can sign up to get a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.
