Firstly, Montana said that “short curtains are the worst”, and recommended bringing them down to the floor, for a classier looking home.

She also added that Valance style curtains make your home look cheap.

The next thing on Montana’s list is fridges that are not integrated into the kitchen.

She said that, although getting them integrated can be expensive, it is something that interior designers say is always worth “splurging” on.

Montana also said that cracked and chipped skirting boards are guaranteed to make your home look cheap.

She explained that fixing this is so easy to do, and will make your home look so much better.

Clutter is another of Montana’s interior design no no’s.

She said: “Always get rid of clutter, and be as minimal as you possibly can.”

Lastly, Montana said that interior designers turn their noses up at the wall plates that Google Nest home automation systems are placed on.

She said that it is much better to get these drywalled properly when installed.

Montana said that you don’t have to spend loads to make your house look classy, and can find lots of budget buys from the likes of Ikea.

“It’s just about picking the right items”, she said.

Montana’s video, which was posted under the username @montana.labelle has likely struck a chord with many people, as it has racked up over 66,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section, to share their thoughts on Montana’s tips.
