Iconic cult makeup chain opens third UK location featuring beauty hub and brow bar

A CULT beauty chain that’s hugely popular in the US has opened its third megastore in the UK – much to the delight of make up and skincare fans.

Sephora has opened a new branch in Trafford Centre, Manchester today.

The brand sells make-up, skincare, perfume, hair, nails and a whole variety of beauty products and has an army of dedicated fans around the world.

A staggering 2,000 people queued up this morning to be the first into the new store.

The 500 square meter store is decorated with the iconic black and white stripes while following the distinctive codes of the London stores, with soft geometric shapes and ambient lighting.

The store boasts an extensive collection of beauty brands that shoppers would usually need to obtain online sometimes paying a fortune on overseas shipping.

Rows and rows of beauty brands can be found in the store including Max Factor, Fenty Skin and e.lf. cosmetics.

The Manchester store has two unique features for beauty fans in the city.

A Beauty Hub will be available in the store where shoppers can sit with professionals to get their makeup or hair done.

The services have also been extended to include skin treatments

Beauty brand Benefit will have a Cosmetics Brow bar inside the megastore which offers a handful of services including brow lamination, waxing and tinting.

Shoppers can also head to the Sephora Lip Bar or heat to the Hot on Social corner to check out the 10 most popular products of the day.

Customers will have plenty of time to shop in the new store with the opening hours listed as 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sundays.

The new store holds brands like Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs, Glossier, and Tarte.

The first 500 shoppers to enter the store this morning were gifted an exclusive goodie bag full of beauty treats.

The news follows the second Sephora that was opened in Westfield Stratford in November last year.

Not long before that Sephora opened its first ever UK store in Westfield Shepherds Bush

The West London store spans over a mega 600sqm, offering over 100 brands to eager customers.

Sephora has a whopping 430 US stores and over 2.600 globally.

Although it’s known as an American cult favourite Sephora is actually a French brand.

It’s important to note that Sephora products can often be pricey.

So, it’s always a good idea to shop around for products to make sure you don’t miss out on any deals.

You can use comparison sites like the Latest Deals app or Google Shopping to see how much an item costs elsewhere.

And make sure to factor in added delivery costs if you order any products to your home – they might hike the price up depending on how big the order is.

Best beauty dupes

Fabulous' Beauty Editor, Tara Ledden revealed the cheaper version of your favourite beauty products that you should have in your cupboard.

“A huge 55% of us would like to spend less on our beauty routines according to new research from E.l.f. Cosmetics, so it’s no wonder there’s millions of #dupe videos on Tiktok.

“While some dupes are easy to spot given their look-a-like packing, they’re often lacking when it comes to the contents.

“In fact, some of the best dupes look nothing like the luxury product they’re a dead-ringer for – and, trust me, they’re the ones you want.”

REAL: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £32.50 DUPE: Natural Collection Bronzer, £3.50 which is a saving of £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer comes in more shades, although it doesn’t have a mirror in the compact.

REAL: Milk Make-up Hydro-Grip Primer, £35 DUPE: E.l.f. Power Grip Primer, £10. These two share a similar green hue, as well as the same long-wearing, mattifying properties – although, E.l.f’s is so popular it’s just as hard to get hold of.

REAL: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Nu, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are virtually identical on the lips, although while Charlotte Tilbury’s is matte, the L’Oreal Paris Lipstick has a satin finish – which actually makes it more comfortable if you’re wearing all day.

REAL: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Collection Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation, £6.99. While they don’t look alike from the outside, the formula, consistency and staying power of both foundations is pretty similar – unfortunately, the Collection only comes in 20 shades vs Estee Lauder’s 60 options.

REAL: Glossier Boy Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There’s a whole reddit thread dedicated to this dupe, so you know it’s got to be good. They both have a waxy consistency and added fibres to make brows look fuller. I have to say, the shade range is far better with Boy Brow, but if you’re brunette, there’s plenty of Essence shade options to try.
