Inside the multi-coloured glass or plastic balloon sits a light, reflecting warm colours across your backyard.

Several retailers have sold them in recent weeks and they sell out pretty quickly every time.

Shoppers were screaming about the lights which were recently spotted in Home Bargains for less than £5.

The whimsical decorations were recently listed as a Home Bargains £4.99 Star Buy.

One Facebook user said: “Everyone is growing crazy for these hot air balloon solar lights from Home Bargains!”

Another user complained: “Why do they never have them in ours?”

“I’ve been to a few Home Bargains and can’t get them anywhere,” said someone else.

“Not found any in stock,” said a third user.

A fourth user said: “I’m desperately looking for one.”

The shoppers who did manage to get their hands on the lights all said they were very pleased with their new garden decorations.

One user said: “They look lovely.”

“They look like Up,” said someone else.

“Look well nice,” another.

A fourth user said the lights were: “Gorgeous.”

If you don’t manage to get your hands on the Home Bargains lights you can try other stores.

You could try B&M where the Firefly Hanging Hot Air Balloon Solar Light was selling for £6.

Or check out B&Q where similar lanterns are going for a bit more at £15.99 each.
