Cassie Alleges That Diddy Paid $50,000 for Hotel Assault Video, According to Lawsuit Documents

Details from Cassie Ventura‘s 2023 lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs are re-surfacing following the release of the hotel security footage of him attacking her.

On Friday (May 17), CNN obtained a video of the 54-year-old music producer as he appears running down the hallway of a hotel, chasing after Cassie, 37. He appears to grab her and throw her to the floor before the alleged attack begins.

The video, which was allegedly recorded on March 5, 2016, appears to be from security footage at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, which is no longer open.

Two days after the video was allegedly recorded, Diddy and Cassie attended the premiere of A Perfect Match in L.A. on March 7, 2016.

In the lawsuit she filed against Diddy in November 2023, Cassie accused her former partner of rape and abuse while also alleging that he paid the hotel for the security camera footage of the assault.

Keep reading to find out more…Cassie claimed in the suit that “around March 2016″ they were at a hotel when Diddy was “extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye.”

After Diddy fell asleep, Cassie alleged she attempted to leave the hotel room, but he woke up and “followed her into the hallway of the hotel while yelling at her.”

“He grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape,” the lawsuit alleged.

Her complaint went on to say that after she got into the elevator, she took a cab to her apartment.

“Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser,” the lawsuit claimed.

The suit continued, “When she returned, hotel security staff urged her to get back into a cab and go to her apartment, suggesting that they had seen the security footage showing Mr. Combs beating Ms. Ventura and throwing glass at her in the hotel hallway.”

Cassie also alleged that Diddy paid InterContinental Century City $50,000 for the hallway security footage of the incident.

After the release of the video, a rep for InterContinental Hotels told CNN, “This hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage.”

Diddy and Cassie settled the case outside of court one day after she filed lawsuit in 2023. However, Diddy‘s legal team maintained that the settlement was not an “admission of wrongdoing” on his part.

In March 2024, Diddy‘s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided, however, federal agents have not disclosed what they took from the homes.

While Diddy has not yet publicly addressed the video, Cassie‘s husband just spoke out.
