Tottenham Hotspur could face competition from fellow Premier League side Liverpool this summer if they wish to sign Brondby forward Yuito Suzuki, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Danish news outlet Bold.dk earlier this week claimed that Tottenham sent members of their scouting team to watch the Japanese Under-21 international in action during Bronby’s 1-0 win over FC Nordsjælland on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old scored the only goal of the game in the 27th minute of the Superliga play-off fixture when he tapped home from close range and now it appears that the two Premier League sides could square off this summer in their interest in the player.
Tottenham have scouted Brondby forward Yuito Suzuki
Liverpool will be managed by Arne Slot next season, a name who will be familiar to Tottenham fans after he was heavily linked with the managerial position at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium prior to Ange Postecoglou‘s appointment.
The Merseysiders have watched Suzuki on more than one occasion during April while there is also said to be interest from other clubs across Europe including Manchester United, Manchester City, AC Milan, Ajax, Espanyol and Stuttgart.
Suzuki has 11 goals and nine assists to his name across 30 matches in all competitions this season (transfermarkt).

Tottenham appear to be scouting the Scandanavian region heavily with top talent Lucas Bergvall having been snapped up from Swedish outfit Djurgårdens IF in January, despite heavy interest from Barcelona.
While Yuito Suzuki looks to be a potential talent for the future, Tottenham need a forward who can hit the ground running with Ivan Toney looking to fit the bill.
