"Honoring Saint Rose Day" brings closing college's alumni together

The Saint Rose Alumni Association is sponsoring a series of events for "Honoring Saint Rose Day," giving more than 1,200 alumni the chance to celebrate their glory days and say goodbye to the campus as the school prepares to close this summer.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saint Rose Alumni Association is sponsoring a series of events for "Honoring Saint Rose Day," giving more than 1,200 alumni the chance to celebrate their glory days and say goodbye to the campus as the school prepares to close this summer.

Memories are sure to flood back, as the special occasion features a class decade meetup and a closing ceremony on the campus green. The event registration reached capacity and is now closed.

As the college shuts down, what will become of the association that plans events throughout the year to keep connections strong?

"As an alumni association, we are still discussing and deciding what our next steps are, but I think once we make that decision, we will let the alumni community know," said Myles Clendenin, Alumni Association Board Member.
