5 eerie photos of the dense fog that delayed the PGA Championship on Saturday

For the second day in a row, play at the PGA Championship was delayed to begin the morning — though fortunately no players were arrested on Saturday.

A dense fog swept over Valhalla Golf Club just after dawn, keeping players off the course on moving day. Many were trying to finish their suspended second rounds before the third round officially teed off this afternoon.

After about two hours of waiting for the fog to lift, the second round finally concluded with several notable players missing the cut and many more still chasing Xander Schauffele (-12) atop the leaderboard.

But judging from these photos of the course this morning, there was certainly no way anyone could’ve safely played. Louisville was looking like a different planet entirely.
