Jake Gyllenhaal kicked off the May 18 episode of Saturday Night Live with a musical performance!

The 43-year-old Road House star returned to the popular late-night show for his third time hosting.

He took the stage to deliver the opening monologue, during which he joked about hosting the season finale of the 49th season instead of the season premiere of the upcoming 50th season.

He then broke into an SNL- themed take of Boyz II Men‘s “End of the Road!”

Jake joked that Pedro Pascal, Zendaya and Ryan Gosling (who just hosted a few episodes ago) turned down the opportunity to host tonight’s show.

He then pulled out a mic and started belting out the lyrics to his song with the support of a few costars.

The actor also joked about his Road House costar, Conor McGregor.

“49 is the number of times Conor McGregor accidentally punched me during Road House,” he joked, adding that he always says that his experience with the MMA fighter was great because he was “scared he’s nearby.”

Jake will be joined by musical guest Sabrina Carpenter!

We’ll get this post updated once the monologue is available online and will let you know if anything else big happens tonight.

In the meantime, find out which SNL cast member from the show’s history is the richest!
