Minor League Recap: Another Excellent Rubber Ducks’ Pitching Performance

Columbus Clippers 5, Louisville Bats 2

Will Dion had an excellent start for the Clippers, striking out six batters in six innings and only giving up 2 runs, Jose Tena went 3 for 5, and Raynel Delgado had his first homer of the season. Peter Strzelecki made his triumphant return with two strikeouts in the ninth inning getting the save.

Akron Rubber Ducks 4, Altoona Curve 0

Rodney Boone, Lenny Torres Jr., Ross Carver and Jack Leftwich shut out the Curve, striking out 12. Khalil Watson and Milan Tolentino hit homers and Alexfri Planez was 2 for 3 with a double.

Lansing Lugnuts 15, Lake County Captains 11

The Captains pitching was hammered, especially Parker Messick, but their hitters were excellent with Nate Furman going 3 for 5 with a homer, Alex Mooney going 3 for 6, Nate Kayfuss going 2 for 5 with a walk, and Isaiah Greene going 3 for 4 with a walk.

Delaware Shorebirds 7, Lynchburg Hillcats 6

Tommy Hawke and Angel Genao were both 3 for 5 and the Hillcats had nine hits which were all singles. Alex Clemmey walked five batters in two and a third and kicked off a rough day for Hillcat pitchers.

ACL Padres 2, ACL Guardians 1

Jogly Garcia had a great start for the Arizona Complex League Guardians, striking out seven in five scoreless innings, but the hitters only managed one hit and two walks.
