Football Insider claim that Tottenham will have a higher transfer budget than any other Premier League club once the new financial rules come into play.

Daniel Levy has always run Tottenham as a business that operates within its means, and that plan appears to be flourishing in the modern age of football amid financial caps and profit and sustainability rules.

The Profit and Sustainability system is set to be scrapped in 2025 in favour of a new squad cost rule, which will see clubs spend a maximum of 85 per cent of their overall revenue on wages, agent fees, and transfers.

Premier League teams will also be capped at spending a maximum of five times the lowest earnings in the league, which is said to be good news for Tottenham.

Tottenham to have the highest budget in England

Football Insider claim that sources have informed them Spurs will ‘thrive’ under these new regulations and the club could ‘take their transfer spending to new levels’ thanks to their current wage system.

In fact, Tottenham have the lowest wage-to-turnover ratio in the entire Premier League (2023), spending 46 per cent of their overall revenue on paying their players.

If Spurs maintain this wage structure and continue to grow their revenue, it is said they will have the best transfer budget in the league.
