Inside Amanda Holden’s ‘Love Island rival’ Netflix reality show at luxury Majorcan resort
AMANDA Holden is set to take on dating mega show Love Island with her own Netflix rival – and here is a sneak peek.
The Britain’s Got Talent star, 53, will be at the helm of Cheaters: Unfinished Business and it will be filmed in a luxury 10-bedroom villa in Majorca.
Amanda’s show will see exes – who split over an infidelity – come face-to-face with each other on the sunshine isle.
In a huge effort to beat ITV2‘s Love Island in the ratings, the contestants will be staying in an even ‘bigger and better’ villa.
In new photos of the gorgeous 14th Century property, which sits in a staggering 40-hectare black truffle estate, huge palm trees line the sun terrace.
The house features a giant outdoor swimming pool with plenty of day beds around it – which will be perfect for the former couples to chat and reconcile on.
The exes can also be ‘pulled for a chat’ by their cheat into a cobbled courtyard and, if things go really well, they can move to one of several king-sized beds inside the property.
A source has told Mail Online that Amanda cannot wait to get going with filming, adding: “The villa being in Mallorca will of course invite comparisons with Love Island, which is also filmed in Palma, and Amanda hopes her series will be just as popular.”
The Sun revealed in April that Amanda had landed the job as host for Cheaters: Unfinished Business in a deal with Netflix worth £500,000.
With the help of a dating expert, Amanda will oversee eight former couples reuniting at the luxury Spanish villa.
They will then see whether they can move past the betrayal that ended their relationship and get back together, or part ways on good terms.
Amanda, who also hosts Heart FM’s Breakfast Show, has described it as her “dream job”.
She said: “Sometimes dreams really do come true. All my career I always wanted to host a show about love and relationships – and this is it.
“A series about second chances and unfinished business. I can’t wait to meet and help these couples work out whether they can forgive and forget. I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of it.”
This will be Amanda’s first show with Netflix.
She is due to fly to Majorca to film it this summer, before the series drops onto the streaming service next year.
