Mick Jagger takes hilarious jab at Donald Trump's 'trial and tribulations'

Former President Donald Trump would probably prefer not to be mocked by one rock and roll's most enduringly iconic bands, but you can't always get what you want.

As the former president hosted a Bronx rally, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger Thursday night took a jab from across the river at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

“I was a bit worried about the weather tonight,” Jagger said. “I thought we were going to get a Stormy Daniels but we’re all right.”

Jagger's satirical forecast of course centered on the adult film start who took the stand in Trump's criminal hush money trial to testify she was paid $130,000 to keep a story about their affair to herself.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to charges that he falsified business records to conceal the payments made ahead of the 2016 presidential election and denies the affair.

According to Daily Beast reporter Lloyd Green, Jagger also took note of his "trials and tribulations."

The Rolling Stones appear to have swiftly sold out tickets to their new Hackney Diamond tour, which could put the crowds who cheered them at the Rutherford stadium at more than 80,000 people.

While Trump's campaign has claimed he drew 25,000 supporters to Crotona Park Thursday night, police and reports from inside the park put his numbers at about 3,500.

This is not the first time Jagger and the Stones have entered into the political arena to take on Trump.

In 2020, the band warned the then-president to stop playing their songs at his campaign rallies or face legal action.

In 2019, Jagger publicly condemned Trump for his environmental policies.

In 2016, Jagger slammed Trump for playing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at events, saying, "I’m not Donald’s DJ.”
