Love Island fans brand bosses cruel and beg them to step in for Samantha after shocking twist

LOVE Island fans have branded their latest shocking twist “cruel” and have begged producers to step in.

Samantha Kelly’s blooming romance with Joey Essex suffered its first major setback on Friday night with the arrival of three new bombshells – one of which is Joey’s ex.

As the gang got to know the new additions with a game, Samantha was left upset when Grace Jackson, who had a “summer fling” with Joey, seized the opportunity to share a snog with the Towie star.

Samantha was left seething as she was forced to watch it happen.

This was made even more awkward when Joey then turned around and hugged Ronnie Vint, branding the game “the best night ever”.

She later spoke about her feelings in the Beach Hut, saying: “I just feel like Joey was just waiting for someone to come in, and I feel like she’s come in now.

“So I just feel like… I’m on the back burner, do you know what I mean?”

Samantha teared up at the thought of being so easily dismissed – with fans also slamming Joey for his behaviour.

“Producers get off Samantha neck you lot are gonna kill her,” wrote one fan.

Another wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “The producers decided to destroy Samantha and completely ruin her hot girl summer #bringsamhome#LoveIsland”

“Does anyone else think the producers have been cruel bringing in Joey’s ex?” added a third. “They had their time and it fizzled out for a reason. It just appears humiliating for Samantha. It’s also #loveisland NOT #exonthebeach”

While a fifth worried: “With my chest, I can say that this season’s casa victim may be Samantha. I don’t like how Joey is moving”

Joey and Grace originally dated in early 2024, but their six-week romance ended abruptly.

Grace told the others of their fling: Grace says: “So, we met last year in Ibiza and it’s actually funny because he’s not my type at all. We had a bit of a holiday romance. It carried on when we were back home.

“It was quite intense. We were seeing each other for a few months. It kind of ended a little bit frosty to be honest and we’ve not really spoken since.”

Grace entered the show with fellow newcomers Tiffany Leighton and Will Anderson, all ready to cause a stir in the Villa.
