Shooting at splash pad in Detroit suburb injures 8 people, including 2 children, authorities say

Authorities in Michigan say eight people were injured in a shooting at a splash pad in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills. Two children are among the victims. Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard says a a possible suspect was contained in a home nearby. The sheriff says a handgun and three empty magazines were recovered. Authorities said Saturday that there was still an active crime scene and asked people to avoid the area. The splash pad is at a city park and includes gentle fountains and water sprays for children to play in.
