US election: A woman’s fight for education – and how it led her to switch political affiliations

To better understand the US presidential election, we dive into the campaign through the eyes of several voters. In this second episode, we head to Nevada, a key state in the race for the White House. We meet a woman who has made education her battle. In Nevada, public education works by district and home address: students cannot attend a school outside of their own area or neighbourhood, unless they leave the public system. Valeria Gurr believes that’s unfair and even an infringement on freedom. It even led her to switch political affiliations, as FRANCE 24’s team reports.
