Theodore Roosevelt's pocket watch was stolen in 1987. It's finally back at his New York home

A silver pocket watch that belonged to President Theodore Roosevelt is back on public display at his home and national park site in New York, nearly four decades after it was stolen. The FBI and National Park Service announced this week that it was recovered from an auction house in Florida and returned to the Sagamore Hill historic site on Long Island. The watch was stolen in 1987 from an unlocked case at another Roosevelt historic site in Buffalo, New York. Who stole it and how remains a mystery. The auction house owner says he received the watch from a Buffalo art collector, who got it from another person years ago.
