Small plane with 3 on board makes emergency landing on Nevada highway. No one is hurt

Authorities in Nevada say the pilot of a small plane ran was able to make an emergency landing safely on a highway after running out of fuel. No vehicles were hit, and none of the three people on board the plane were injured. The state patrol says the two-engine aircraft landed Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 50 about 15 miles east of Carson City. The eastbound lanes were temporarily blocked while the plane was loaded onto a truck for transport. The Federal Aviation Administration says it will investigate.
