French left begins discussions on selecting PM candidate

The coalition of left and green parties that make up the New Popular Front began discussions on selecting a name to put forward as a potential new prime minister Monday following the group’s surprise victory in snap legislative elections that gave them the most seats in parliament but not a majority.
