Music Review: Phish rock out with energy and urgency on their 16th studio album, 'Evolve'

The 16th studio album from Phish is aptly titled “Evolve." This is the first release by the jam master in over four years. The Associated Press’ Dave Campbell writes that “Evolve” starts strong enough to hook both a Phish skeptic and the diehard who’s been to two dozen shows. This boundary-pushing quartet, known for fusing rock, jazz, bluegrass and other freewheeling sounds, plays with energy and urgency over the first half of the record. The band believes it's just hitting its stride as the members move into their 60s. This album gives plenty of reason to keep it going.
