Does new tech mean better play?

Just a thought if the newer tech that is coming out helps players be better? Thoughts on this is the newer titlist gt 3 or even newer irons.

I love my ltdx irons but I played better with the Callaway rogues. I know some of you play with older gear that just works better than the new stuff.
