I’m a fairly average golfer, but I’m a bit obsessive about taking care of my clubs – especially the driver and fairway woods.
Over the last few years I’ve tried leather, synthetic and knit headcovers, and I ended up going back to knit.

Here are a few reasons why knit headcovers still make sense for me in 2026:

I’m in the market for a new driver I’m no pro but was driving my old driver “Cleveland xl launcher” consistently around 280. I am able to get a great deal on a cobra DS adapt x. And I’ve heard great things just need opinions.

I just recently purchase a used Lynx Black Cat pitching off of EBay to complete a set I have. The club has a graphite shaft with a flared butt end. I'm wanting to replace the grip but the one I purchased won't fit over the flare. Any options on replacement grips that would fit the shaft? Adhesive tape is attached to the shaft right now.

Guess it's been a while. Lots of stuff happening in my life these days. New job, kid stuff, life!! But still golfing away.

Highlights / lowlights for 2025

h/c finished out at 4.3 for the year
New irons - Srixon ZXi5 6i-GW. Statistically about 5% shorter than my P790s but higher flight and lovely feel
Ditched 4 and 5 irons for 4 and 5 hybrids - best decision ever

Not a lot of info on these heads out there so I will give you my take on them. If you're more of a traditionalist with your equipment and are looking for game improvement forging I would have a look at these. 1020 double stamped forged progressive offset in a traditional size head is what this head offers.
