US President Joe Biden’s Sunday surprise announcement that he is leaving the presidential race and endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris “turns the whole race on its head of the Republican party ... the rug has been pulled underneath them”, FRANCE 24’s Rob Parsons said. A former prosecutor, Harris would be in a strong position to face off Donald Trump, Parsons said, adding "it’s going to be prosecutor against prosecuted, that’s not a good look for Donald Trump, a convicted felon”.
