Netanyahu 'sees US Democrats as increasingly hostile to state of Israel'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visit to Washington, where he is due to address Congress on Wednesday, risks being overshadowed by US domestic political issues following the Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential election. Steven A Cook, senior fellow for Middle East studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, says that Netanyahu is likely to focus his efforts on rallying support from US Republicans amid increasingly strained relations with Biden’s administration.
