Vice President Harris moved with lightning speed after President Joe Biden's exit from the race triggered one of the largest election upheavals in modern US history. Harris is bidding to make history as the country's first female, Black and South Asian president. She has been leaning into her past role as California's top prosecutor to take on Trump, a convicted felon. Support continues to pour in from top Democratic congressional chief and high-profile Democratic activists. Harris's campaign announced it had already raised $100 million since her entry into the White House race, with 62 percent of donations coming from first time donors.
