Far-right activists and anti-racism groups are facing off in cities across the U.K. as tensions remained high following the stabbing rampage at a dance class holiday club earlier this week. With dozens of 20 protests scheduled to take place around the country over the weekend, police have mounted a significant security operation, deploying thousands more officers onto the streets, many in their riot gear. On Saturday, there were some isolated incidents of violence despite the high police presence. Scuffles have also been reported in Belfast, Manchester and Nottingham. he protests over the past few days have ostensibly erupted after a 17-year-old was arrested over Monday’s stabbing rampage at a dance class that left three girls dead and several wounded.
