NATIONAL SUMMARY
Debby will bring a flood threat and isolated tornadoes to
northeastern New England today. Rain will end farther to the
southwest, but lingering flooding and rising rivers will be
a concern from northwestern New England and New York to
Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and the
Carolinas. Thunderstorms from Wyoming to the Texas Panhandle
could contain hail and damaging winds. Wildfire smoke will
cause the sky to be hazy in Washington, Oregon, Idaho,
northern Nevada and northwestern Utah. An early glimpse of
fall can cause waterspouts near the shorelines of southern
Lake Superior, northern Lake Michigan and northern Lake
Huron. Spotty thunderstorms will rumble in areas from
southeastern Virginia to Florida in the afternoon.
