Number of visitors to Jordan's Petra plummet due to Israel-Gaza war

The once bustling passageways of Jordan's ancient city of Petra were almost bare this week, with only a few tourists seen at the world-renowned site, famous for its cultural heritage and archeological significance. A number of nearby shops and businesses have been forced to shut down, with local authorities, tour guides and shop owners saying the on-going war in nearby Gaza is keeping tourists away.
