Anger, fear, feeling 'abandoned' after another night of Israeli strikes on Beirut

Residents of Beirut woke up Sunday “with anger, extreme fear” and a feeling of being abandoned because “it looks like people are trapped here” after consecutive nights of Israeli bombardments, says FRANCE 24’s Cyril Payen, reporting from the Lebanese capital. Overnight strikes Saturday into Sunday were particularly intense, says Payen, leaving Beirut’s southern suburbs engulfed in a cloud of smoke hours later.
