Gunman hits unmarked CPD squad car in Gage Park
Several people are being questioned after a gunman shot at a Chicago police squad car Sunday night in Gage Park on the Southwest Side.
Around 11:10 p.m., officers in an unmarked squad car were responding to a gang disturbance in the 5200 block of South Homan Avenue when a gunman standing with a group of people opened fire, striking the squad car, police said.
Officers didn’t return fire, and no injuries were reported, officials said.
The suspected shooter wasn’t in custody; area detectives questioned several people of interest.
