Man charged in road rage shooting of 11-year-old
A man has been charged after an 11-year-old was shot during a road rage incident in Wicker Park earlier this month, Chicago police said.
Jeston Harris, 27, turned himself in to police Monday morning, police said. He faces aggravated battery and four counts of aggravated assault.
The boy who was shot was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a crash in the 1400 block of North Western Avenue about 8:30 a.m. Dec. 13, police said. When the driver of one of the involved vehicles attempted to exchange information, Harris, the other driver, began firing at the vehicle with the boy, police said.
The boy was shot in the hand and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.
