Q&A: Avicii documentary director on celebrating the late DJ without exploiting his death

Avicii, the groundbreaking Swedish DJ-producer, died six years ago. On Tuesday, two new movies about the musician will premiere on Netflix. One is a short concert film captured at what became his final performance titled “Avicii — My Last Show." The other is a full-length documentary titled “Avicii — I’m Tim." Both celebrate the artist born Tim Bergling. Director Henrik Burman told The Associated Press the projects took half a decade. He spent five years researching and speaking to the people closest to Avicii. He says “to know people around Tim” was the only way “to know Tim.”
