2 women fatally shot at Park Forest home

Two women were fatally shot Thursday evening at a home in south suburban Park Forest.

Around 6:10 p.m., 30-year-old Sabrina McCain and 51-year-old Lillian Brown were found with apparent gunshot wounds inside a home in the 300 block of Miami Street, Park Forest police said.

One of the women was dead at the scene, while the other woman was taken to an area hospital where she later died, police said.

Two children were inside the house but were unharmed, according to officials. They were taken to area hospitals as a precaution.

Police say the shooting is an isolated incident and that the suspect and two women knew each other.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit were called to assist the Park Forest Investigations Unit.
