New Israeli airstrikes in southern Gaza kill at least 15, hospital workers say

Hospital staff in southern Gaza say the latest Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 15 people, including a child. The three airstrikes hit a car, a house and people on the street in the city of Khan Younis on Saturday morning. Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 59 people have been killed by strikes in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, a new effort is said to be underway in Qatar toward a ceasefire after nearly 15 months of the Israel-Hamas war. The talks mediated by the United States, Qatar and Egypt have repeatedly stalled.
