JetBlue fined for flight delays, and passengers may see refunds

NEW YORK CITY, New York: JetBlue Airways is facing a $2 million penalty from the U.S. Transportation Department for repeated flight delays along the East Coast. In a first-of-its-kind move, half of the fine will be distributed to affected passengers.

The Transportation Department attributed the delays to "unrealistic scheduling" by the airline. "Illegal chronic flight delays make flying unreliable for travelers.
