A second flight of Iranian deportees, carrying 55, has left the US, Iran says

Iranian officials say a second flight carrying deported Iranians has left the United States. Washington reportedly plans to send hundreds back to Iran. Activists are concerned about deportees returning to Iran, where the government has been cracking down on intellectuals and increasing executions. On Monday, the Mizan news agency quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry official Mojtaba Shasti Karimi acknowledging the deportation of 55 Iranians. The U.S. government has not acknowledged the deportation flight.
