Danish veterans stage protest outside US Embassy
Hundreds of Danish veterans have staged a silent protest outside the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen. They are responding to the Trump administration's threats to take over Greenland and belittling their combat contributions. On Saturday, veterans gathered at a monument honoring fallen Danish service members before marching to the embassy. They observed five minutes of silence for Denmark’s army, air force, navy, emergency management agency, and police. Danish veterans are upset by the White House rhetoric, which they feel disregards Greenland's right to self-determination and Denmark's sacrifices in global conflicts.
