France will summon US Ambassador Charles Kushner after US comments on activist’s death
France is summoning U.S. Ambassador Charles Kushner to protest American comments about the killing of far-right activist Quentin Deranque. Deranque died last week of brain injuries after a beating in Lyon during a clash near a student meeting. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot says the case is being used for political ends amid rising political tensions. Police have filed preliminary charges against seven people.
