Ruben Gallego backs Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner

Maine Democrat Graham Platner has picked up another Senate endorsement in his bid to flip a key Senate seat blue. On Monday, Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego endorsed Platner. Gallego’s support lands as Senate leader Chuck Schumer backs Platner’s main rival, Gov. Janet Mills. Platner and Mills both aim to unseat Republican Sen. Susan Collins, who is running for her sixth term. Platner has maintained an anti-establishment message but faces controversy over old social media posts and covering a tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol.
