Pakistan says it killed 67 Afghan security force members in fifth day of fighting
Pakistan's information minister says Afghan ground forces have attacked Pakistani military positions at 16 locations along the southwestern border and fired on multiple points in the northwest. They triggered intense clashes in which 67 members of Afghan forces and one Pakistani soldier were killed. Pakistan's information minister posted on X on Tuesday that Pakistan repelled these attacks. He said Afghanistan carried out ground assaults in 16 locations in the southwestern. Pakistan killed 27 members of Afghan forces in the retaliatory attacks. Tarar said Afghan forces also launched attacks at 25 locations in the border regions of northwest, where Pakistan killed 40 Afghan forces. There was no immediate comment from Kabul on the Pakistani figures.
