New metro line starts taking shape with installation of first pier cap

The first pier cap for the new metro corridor was installed on Thursday. This installation marks the beginning of the superstructure phase for the project. GMRL will now install similar structures at other locations along the corridor. The 28.5 km corridor will connect Millennium City Centre and Cyber City. Construction of this phase is expected to take 30 months to complete.
