A medical helicopter crashed off California’s Catalina Island, leading to the death of two individuals. Two others were rescued and taken to hospitals in stable condition after first responders arrived. Search and rescue operations continued for a fifth person reported missing aboard the aircraft. The helicopter reportedly belonged to REACH Air Medical Services based in Sacramento. Investigations into the crash are being conducted by the National Transportation Safety Board.
