MEGGETT — Roxbury Park is closed and it’s uncertain when the quiet birding mecca that drew hundreds will reopen.

Plants for drainage easements and other wet soils

Last October, not only the drainage easement behind my yard but also the perennials alongside it were under water for 36 to 48 hours. Fortunately, all of the plants survived. Thus, in addition to being tolerant of, or preferring moist soils, the following plants can survive being submerged, at least once.

Lately, Hannibal Buress’ life has been getting more complicated. The comedian used to do mostly stand-up and a little TV work. These days, the 33-year-old Chicago native is a wanted man.

Boyd, Liebler headed to S.C. Golf Hall of Fame

Bob Boyd and Steve Liebler have been selected for induction into the South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame. Induction ceremonies are scheduled Jan. 14, 2017 at Columbia Country Club.
