MUSC to pay $87,000 in malpractice case involving deceased patient

The Medical University of South Carolina must pay more than $87,000 in attorney fees and costs after a court found that employees altered paperwork, provided false testimony and took too long to produce medical records for the family of a deceased patient.

A rescheduled ArtWalk with plenty of events on the schedule

My family and I were good citizens and evacuated the Lowcountry because of Hurricane Matthew. The storm disrupted our schedule only for a few days, so we consider ourselves very fortunate. But Matthew did wipe out the October ArtWalk that was scheduled on Friday. The good news is that the ArtWalk is still happening this weekend.

Police: Moncks Corner triple homicide suspect was "kneeling" at the scene

A Ladson man accused of murdering three people Saturday in Moncks Corner was found kneeling on the ground near the bodies when police arrived at the scene, according to a redacted incident report released Wednesday by the Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office.

86% approve of anti-drugs drive in Pulse Asia survey

President Duterte’s anti-drugs campaign had the support of 86 percent of the 1,200 respondents in a survey conducted by Pulse Asia from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, with 3 percent expressing disapproval and 11 percent unsure.
