Fog and heavy rain to hit Kazakhstan as temperatures soar to +44°C

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have released the weather forecast for August 11, 12 and 13.

According to the forecast, contrasting weather conditions are expected across Kazakhstan in the coming days. Some regions will see rain and thunderstorms, with hail and squally winds possible, while temperatures in the south are expected to reach up to +44°C.

Where rain is expected

Under the influence of atmospheric fronts, rain and thunderstorms are forecast in some parts of the country, with hail and squally winds possible in places. On August 11, heavy rain is expected in northern Kazakhstan and in the mountainous areas of the southeast.

Mostly dry weather will persist in the central and southern regions of Kazakhstan. Fog is expected in some areas of the northwest, north and east at night and in the morning.

Heat up to +44°C

Daytime temperatures will vary significantly by region. In the west and centre, temperatures are expected to range from +27°C to +39°C, while the northwest and north will see +25°C to +35°C.

In the east and southeast, temperatures will rise to between +30°C and +42°C.

The hottest weather is forecast in southern Kazakhstan, where temperatures may reach up to +44°C.
