Tokayev invites Indian Prime Minister to visit Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for taking part in the BRICS Summit, noting his speech and the initiatives he proposed, citing Akorda.

The Prime Minister of India emphasized that he attaches particular importance to friendly and trust-based relations with Kazakhstan. The two leaders discussed a number of specific issues on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation in energy, digitalization, education and tourism.

According to Narendra Modi, Kazakhstan and India have significant potential in high technology and creative industries. In this regard, cooperation between the technological ecosystems of Astana, Astana Hub, and Hyderabad, Cyberabad, appears highly promising.

The two leaders discussed a number of specific issues on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation in energy, digitalization, education and tourism.

The Prime Minister of India invited representatives of Kazakhstan, especially young people, to take part in the WAVES creative industries summit, which will be held in Mumbai next year.

During the meeting, the leaders also considered opportunities for developing cooperation between India and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Kazakhstan, as chair of the EAEU, welcomes the negotiation process on creating a free trade zone between the EAEU and India and is ready to facilitate its advancement.

The Head of State invited the Prime Minister of India to visit Kazakhstan on a state visit.
