Slow-paced implementation of rehab projects scored

Tacloban City, Leyte – Various barangay officials in this city are lambasting what they say is the “snail-paced” implementation of projects in their villages which are funded by  the city government’s Rehabilitation Assistance on Yolanda (RAY). Courtesy of Google Maps Brgy. 74 Chairman Nelia Malate, for instance, told Manila Bulletin that the RAY project in her barangay was supposed to have been completed last year. Malate said on the basis of these complaints, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) City Director, Atty. Darwin Bibar has called for a meeting with the private contractor of the projects.
