29 COCs canvassed Tuesday

Patinio, Philippine News Agency MANILA, May 10 — The National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) initially canvassed a total of 29 Certificates of Canvass (COC) from cities and municipalities in the country and posts from overseas absentee voting (OAV) at the start of the official counting of the votes on Tuesday at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City. As of 6 p.m., the COC came from San Juan City, Yangon, Prague, Buenos Aires, Vatican, Romblon, Lapu-Lapu City (Cebu), Tarlac, Zambales, Singapore, Baguio City, Spain, Batangas, Cebu City, Biliran, Bahrain, Taguig/Pateros, Bacolod City, Camiguin, Lebanon, Korea, Sorgoson, Batanes, Qatar, Malabon, Las Pinas, North Cotabato, Navotas, and Siquijor. But unlike in previous canvassing, the NBOC did not read out the votes garnered by senatorial bets and aspirants in the party-list polls to make the counting faster.
