Pocari vs UP kicks off Shakey’s V-L

Games Today (The Arena, San Juan) 1 p.m. – Navy vs IEM (Spikers’ Turf) 4 p.m. – NU vs Laoag (Shakey’s V-L) 6:30 p.m. – Pocari vs UP (Shakey’s V-L) Pocari Sweat and University of the Philippines (UP) start their respective title bids today when they clash in the opener of the Shakey’s V-League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan. The Warriors and the Lady Maroons clash in the second game at 6:30 p.m. to kick off the first conference of the league’s 13th season. National University battles Laoag in the 4 p.m. curtain raiser. The second season of the Spikers’ Turf, the men’s counterpart of the V-League, also opens today with Navy and Instituto Estetico Manila (IEM) meeting in the lone game at 1 p.m. The V-League doubleheader will be shown live on ABS-CBN Sports+Action after the two parties agreed on a TV deal earlier this week.
