Spoleto Festival’s chamber music concerts are a fascinating combination of rigor, risk-taking and nonchalance. The informal and permissive nature of the Dock Street Theatre concerts allows for easy banter on stage and unhindered expressions of appreciation from the seats. Clapping between movements is not just OK, it’s encouraged.
